Natalie Rose Sinclair is a Nashville, TN based, self-taught artist. In June 2023 Natalie had a solo art exhibit in Nashville. The exhibit featured her latest collection, Freaks Only. The evening was a huge success and it marks a new chapter in the artists career after a 4 year period between collections due to a studio fire that burned all her inventory in 2018.
Natalie’s latest collection, Freaks Only, is bold and unique. Featuring images that are significant to her childhood, while translating into her adulthood. She explores her body dysmorphia and relationship to her sexuality. The series is a collection of what the artist has been working through the past 5 years as she has healed the loss of her work. The collection in her own words is:
“Free and playful. I’ve never let go so much while creating. Everything I am doing now is effortless and coming from a place I have never tapped into before. I’ve never felt this prolific and in my element as I do with Freaks Only.”
Natalie says “I am just getting started. I may have been doing this for a decade now, but in many ways I feel I am just now beginning. It is a rebirth for me.”
Over the past decade of Natalie’s career, she has sold hundreds of paintings nationally and internationally. The artist not only works on canvas, but has painted many murals for businesses and residential homes. The artist does commission pieces as well.
It is safe to say there will be many more exhibits to be on the look out for Freaks Only and future collections by the artist.
